What is the 'normal' length of a recovery / snatch strap ?
9 metres is the most popular length.

As said 9m is the standard, but they are available in a range of lengths and ratings. You can even have them custom made. We are getting 15 tonne 20 m snatch straps custom made at present for our emergency vehicles.

Thanks, much appreciated
I used to havea short snatch rope from Vic Scout 4x4 service Unit, was a VERY handy length to have for those tight scenario's.
The snatch rope worked well too compared to a strap. I wonder if they still have some ....

if your looking at buying a new one then go to a industrial rigging company and check em out as the prices will be vastly different to what you will pay in any specialist four wheel drive shop
Depends on how many Tojo's you've had to recover![]()
