An older engine can be put into a 4WD if the emission ADR's match up. Often the emission ADR's for the 4WD are older than those of the donor car, even though the car may be older as the 4WD is/was classed as commercial with lower emission (and safety) standards .

Also if you run straight gas, you can put just about anything in.........

Sorry yeah I forgot about gas, but not duel fuel, I wanted to keep the duel fuel for the range.

Nah, just fed up, was on my way to spend $800 on a radiator to keep the thing cool, and the governor cover on the auto came off, on the tow truck again.
Was just thinking out aloud, i should have left the stroker in and just driven the dam thing

Yeah mate does auto's, governor cover fell off, first he'd heard of it too.
Radiator i have is to small, going bigger aluminium with AU fans, cruises down the freeway and around town sitting on around 85-90c, up hill, bush etc... temp goes up quick but also cools down quick when taking it easy again. Oil pressure drops off aswell (thats what scares me most) when warmed up and drops right off when hot.(running 20-60 penrite diesel)
From who i've spoken to about this think i have cooling issues!

Shroud?? If it keeps cool on the highway, in theory should keep cool when going slower as long as you move enough air through the radiator

Exactly, crappy Davies Craig fans aren't good enough (same ones as on your RR), I think what i have done is a bit half arsed, time to fix it properly

Not any more, changed to some falcon fans that came with one of the wrecks, just made them fit, although I may have to move the radiator forward a little to clear the blower pulleys

I have a scabby looking set here you can have, try if you want, just have to drink some melbourne as punishment
