    To swap or Not?

Would you swap a 1998 Ford Fairlane dual fuel 6 for a unimog?

Do it, do it while the blokes still p155ed, I presume the mog is unregistered?

How rough is the mog? Could it be registered?

    Most importantly

Would it make a good horse truck

Yes it's unregistered. Has rust issues (Don't know how bad). It was custom built for the mines. 15 gears and a top speed of 60km/h. 1st low is about 0.5km/h.
Oh yea it running 44 inch rubber

Ultimately your decision, the ford would be worth around a few k , if you sell it. A mog would be cool but would cost a fortune to restore and run.

The deffinate answer is yes, your mrs will love driving the kids to school in that, the best 4wd on the block.

Seriosly, some minor mods and chuck the axels and 44" wheels under your Landy and go anywhere just look at Mog Rover.

Id do it just for bragging rights........

I'm going to have a good look over it. If the rust is to much guess I have a chassis and running gear.
If I don't go for it I will let you all know.
