remember the days when the govt made it illegal to have a water tank at home......
These idiots have got no idea.
The thing that amazes me is the fact that they didnt have the intestinal fortitude to go from a stage 3 water restriction to a stage 4 so they invent a stage 3A...What planet are these nob heads on.
Just my 2 cents.

VICTORIAN SEVERE WEATHER WARNING
for Flash Flooding and Widespread Damaging Wind Gusts
For people in Victoria
Issued at 4:15 pm EST on Tuesday 26 June 2007
Weather overview
A low pressure system near the central New South Wales coast is expected to
rapidly intensify and track southwards Tuesday night. This low is forecast to be
replaced by another intense low off the New South Wales coast Wednesday night.
This second low pressure system is likely to continue influencing the weather
over Gippsland on Thursday.
Heavy Rainfall leading to Flash Flooding
Rainfall over East Gippsland is expected to extend westwards to West Gippsland
tonight. Rainfall is expected to become heavier by Wednesday morning over
catchments east of Mt Baw Baw leading to flash flooding in prone areas,
particularly catchments affected by the recent fires. Rainfall totals by
Wednesday night of between 100 and 200mm are forecast. Rainfall is expected to
continue across Gippsland into Thursday, where the focus for heavy rain may be
over catchments in East Gippsland.
Rainfall run-off in fire affected areas may contain debris such as soil, ash,
trees and rocks. People in these areas should be alert to the potential for
landslides.
Widespread damaging wind gusts
A south to southeasterly wind is expected to strengthen overnight across
Gippsland and Alpine districts with average wind speeds of 50 to 80 km/hr and
localised wind gusts to 110 km/hr. Damaging wind gusts are likely to extend to
most districts of Victoria on Wednesday, particularly through the North Central
and Northern Country weather districts.
No doubt another busy few days
