Priceless
Mate (truckie) just got back from Gillgandera, 10k stretch of dirt road water up to the fuel tanks on his prime mover
stopped at a servo for a bit of lunch sees a rangie pulling into servo towing a Toy-motor and caravan, rangie un-hooks drives back down the road 20 mins later rangie pulls into servo towing Toy-motor and camper trailer
apparently the rangie is doing this all day charging $100 bucks a pop
if only we had photos
Tony
Say no more !!!!!!!!!
Steve.
sounds like a good job for a rangie
Keith
If only your rangie liked water this much tony![]()
You see no problem with charging people to help them out? Fine get so fuel re embursed, perhaps a beer as well but $100 a pop?
I don't think $100 is extortion. If your other choice is wait in waist deep water for hours (days?) for the NRMA to come and rescue you for "free", then it is quite reasonable. For his petrol + his time + any damage to his towing strap etc I am not appalled.
What spudboy said, don't forget he will more than likely have to change all of his driveline oils as well, $100 cheap, not like a Garage owner in outback S.A. who was charging $35 for a scrap of fly-screen mesh to cover your grill during a Locust plague, that was back in the late 70's, so $35 back then is well over a $100 now, Regards Frank.
Dobbo were all allowed our opinions shame yours are always outside the curve...
I would bet my left testicle that if you were in the same spot you would do the same thing only charge more
maybe as a once off do it out of the goodness of your hart but time and time again I don't think so...
Tony
Aghhh Mick
with all the rain we've had recently the old girl has had a good wetting on several occasions now the deepest was over the bonnet only a short crosssing mabey 10-15 feet wide and the old girl sailed through never missing a beet so I may have dispelled my water gremlins...
