I had a similar experience with Gaggia, the switch on my espresso machine shorted out and even though it was 4 years old and out of warrenty they sent me a new one free of charge.

Its great when you get good service, really restores your faith in business.

One of the plastic mounting brackets for my Hella FF1000 lights broke. I went to the local agent and they quoted $100 for a replacement bracket.

I mentioned this at the Hella stand at the 4WD show - they thought $100 was a bit steep and hand-delivered to me 2 of the new steel brackets free of charge.

    Excellent service.

it's really nice to see people that care about their product or service.
recently i purchased new brake linings from ricks 4wd in nerang, only because the front's were squealing, there's a bit more to that but i will leave it out, anyway i fitted the new pads from ricks and they squealed. well off to the phone after running them for a few days to see if they would stop.
deb at ricks arranged an early visit and rick did his stuff to the new pads - zonk - didn't fix it, and it is really hard to establish which pad is the culprit, no problem said rick, he supplied and fitted a new set.
test drive - no noise perrfect.
off i go to work, bed in pads on the way, ten kms or less the brakes were squealing, not game to ring rick and complain.
so i fitted the new rear pads i had bought at the same time, thrash it around for a while - yep no noise -
red faced phone call to rick and apologise, no worries, they're hard to pick sometimes. argh, i felt such a dill.
yep give thanks where thanks is due.

I got this sort of service from Lightforce. Drowned my lights so the reflective lining came off. Emailed them for a price on replacements. Guy rang me back to check which ones I had. He then told me that the model I had would be 2 years old and had a design fault so pleae send them back at their expense and sent me a new set.

I took my 3 year old Okuma baitrunner reel to get fixed as the baitrunner would not disengage and it was getting a bit noisy.

They sent me a brand new reel as well as sending back the spool of line that was on the old reel and another spare spool.

Now I will have another excuse to go fishing.
