Jeff I am vice pres at the moment so whata ya wanna know?
I have been in since 1993 and at that stage I was the youngest member at 33. I am now 47 almost 48
As Taff says we have good and bad, the meetings are a necessary evil but we have to have them. As a club we are celebrating our 40th year next year and still have original active members.
We believe that we will be the first 4wd club in aust to reach this milestone, so we must be doing something right?
We have varied trips and social stuff all good and we have a new webmaster so the site will be updated more soon.

We are also known on this forum as the "tea and scones club" as we stop for morning and afternoon tea on some trips.
Most of our members are oldish and we need some younger ones to join.

Really whether the trips are more touring/camping events to get to a destination, or day trips purely to go to an off-road playground and back home again, or a mix?

Also membership costs?

Hopefully there will be another trip in 3-4 weeks when I (finally) have my new tyres.

I would come this weekend, but I don't think bradtot would appreciate me doing that with his AT's?

Ben u can use my tyres rims wherever u want as the tyres aint that crash hot anyway, I cant see u damaging anything can I?

we did however go to a meeting and that was a different story. 1 guy came up to us and said that we wouldn't like it as we were to young (i'm touching 30)

and another told us that there trips were mainly on gravelled road and were more of a sightseeing/sunday drive than an offroad trip

we didn't let this put us off and went along on the reccy and neither of the two that tried to put us off was there

any way what i'm trying to say is, from what i've seen so far there are both good and not so good ( depending on what your into) ...same as everywhere else i guess.
