China would be good parts should be cheaper.
Looks like SAIC are trying to build a huge empire...
LandRover and China - its a combination one wouldnt of thought about some years ago.
when you think about it,,
its an obvious Landrover enviroment,,
and the biggest potential car market in the world.
I tend to go with the general sentiment. There is some very good equipment coming out of China these days.
A TDV6, 6 spd auto, adapter for the series transfer case?
Just the ticket for an "upstaging" for a "79" 109 S3.
Of course the Brilliance BS6 may not be one of them, eh Grumpy? Anyway mate, what the?, it crashed mighty well, judging by the photo's.
Just as well nobody was in the damn thing.
Shorty.
Ahhh, the Brilliance Bull Shiit 6,
what a car!
Soon to be followed by one for the Aussie market:
The Brilliant Pigs Arrse 8.
GQ
has a certain ring to it,,
"Pigs **** 8"
Chinese manufacturing cant be any worse than Landrover manufacturing
I wouldn't hold my breath for massive price drops if the Chinese buy it and manufacturer it.
I would think that quality and reliability would improve in couple of years once they get the hang of making the thing
The level of electronic gimicks are likely to increase within the model as asians seem to liek that sort of thing
I was chatting with a R&D/ manufacturer (Arbortech; the guys who made the hovercraft units for the Olympics) recently. They tendered worldwide recently for high power, top quality small electric motors. In amongst the Swiss, Germans etc. the Chinese electric motors came out top in all areas as well as being 1/5th of the price of the opposition. Just think of those reliable Defender/ Disco alternators that we haven't seen yet! Maybe even water resistant starter motors, who knows.
