The "County" name was first used in the last of the runout model Series 3's, and was the standard issue 110 Coil sprung vehicle in station wagon version only, the Series 2/2a and S3 was available in "DELUXE trim", special order at time of sale. I.E. with Deluxe Seats, and front hood lining, and with front door trims, the 2/2a's also had the optional sunvisors that were standard on Ser 3's (ADR'S) the Series vehicles also had the Optional Deluxe Bonnet, with the curved sides and front, but still retained the spare mount on the top, they could also be had with or without the "Barn Door" and rear carrier.the last of the Series 3 Wagons had the 2.25 ltre 5 Bearing Crankshaft Motors, and were badged as 2.3 (late81 & 82)but none of the Australian spec Station wagons had the 3 individual 2nd row seats that the UK home market vehicles had, just the folding bench rear seats,(with 0-2 inward facing bench seats ) as Series 2/2a, 12 seaters, Series 3 & 110 as 10 seaters.
The Series 3 Stage 1 V8 could also be had in Station Wagon, 2 dr H/top, and 2dr H/top & Ute in Deluxe trim.

SubscriberYes, provided you are happy to take it with coil springs (and I would). You can get a Series with V8 and leaf springs, but you miss out on winding windows, power steering and bucket seats.
A 110/ County is what you want, I would say. It's a "V8 Fender."
And they do come up for sale, and the prices are often fairly low - the best around here was less than $2000 for one in good knick.

And the good thing is that the carby models will convert to gas easily as they already have the hardened valve seatsand there is room to mount a tank underneath, or down the sides. there have been gased vehicles that have done in excess of 500,000 klm, the Stage 1 Series v8's had a different set of CV's that the coil sprung vehicles,and parts are not as common as 110 parts,one could put the Santana Disc Brake conversion on a Stage 1.
