I don't have a front locker, but yes I think it damaged the drag link and God knows what else. Sometimes after a hit like that right on the side of the front wheels the car never tracks the same.

I just hope it's not to bad when I get it back in a couple of weeks.

Well just got a report from the smash repairer and he assures me it's not as bad as I first thought. It's just the pinion rod which holds the diff center that is the only part that needs replacing apart from panel damage to the front and rear passenger door. It just looks alot worse than it was. So that makes me feel alot better. The smash repairer said if I am not happy with it when I get it back he will arrange to get it trucked down to Graeme Cooper's and they can go over it and that will be covered by insurance.

It's still going to take to weeks to fix it properly though.

That's good of him though, being prepared to ship it to G.C. for your peace of mind!

Sorry to hear about your accident. Metal can be fixed, it is the wait for the vehicle and the inconvenience that I find to be the worse thing. Yes, they always say it will be a week, but there is always a part that is on back oerder or they are having trouble getting the paint right. I will be interested to hear the excuses until you actually get it fixed. Just hope it is not in the shop for too long.

Thats no good to hear! I had the same happen to me 20 years ago, where this guy went through the roundabout at 60+kph... didnt even know it was there. He hit me whilst I was going through, the impact sending my car over the roundabout and smashing the car on the other side. Naturally the driver at fault car and mine were a write off, the other car had front end damage.

And yes, the main thing is no one got hurt.
