I only got mine last week - so the adventure has just begun.
It was borderline as to whether to replace the disc or go the machine. apparently there was plenty of meat on the bone so went the machine option - still cheaper.

There's no adjustment on the wheel bearings. One does the nut up tight (270Nm) and that's it.

You are correct as usual !
Mine has come loose (or perhaps was never installed correctly so as to allow it to come loose ie not staked correctly )
Ahh!
We did the ball joints, axle oil seals, brake discs, and brake pads on mine yesterday so I have first hand experience. :p

Re machining brake discs.
New rotors are relatively cheap.!
The experts have told me that if you machine the P38a discs down to near their minimum thickness then under severe use, they WILL warp.
Perhaps someone else has experience of this happening (or not )
Yeah, I hear what you are saying.
This time around there is still plenty of thickness. I'll see how it goes and put new rotors on if it becomes a problem.
Cheers

From a post on the Range Rover forum - a P38A convertible made to look RR Sportish:

well i thought that was funny :D:D and i'm sure it was only ment as a light hearted joke....it seems very much on this forum lalerly that people dont seem to be taking jokes as well and everyone is quick to get up in arms about stuff
what makes me laugh is your all happy to sit here and bag out toyotas!! but isn't that there choice....:)
the 38a has a very bad rep in the uk ron along with the td5 but as proven hear in oz they are not all that bad a car, i blame alot on the uk damp conditions that make these cars so unreliable.....
back to the post i actually think that makes the 38a look awesome its amazing how you can totally transform cars.........hope they fitted the hardon kardon sound systen in it as well;)
If you machine the discs of ANY vehicle down to near minimum thickness, they will warp under severe application - this is by no means particular to the P38A.
Many moons ago, I used to work as a brake mechanic at Tilbrooks in Adelaide, and it was our practice NEVER to machine a disc close to its minimum specified thickness. We would always replace the disc before going down this path, as we did not want to deal with the issues if a disc warped after machining.
As to the fault originally raised in this thread, I would be looking closely at the accumulator and pump, unless there is any evidence of warped discs, which should be easy to detect by light brake application at reasonable speed on a smooth section of road, as another member has previously suggested.
