Don't Land Rover ever hear about their dealers or do they just not care?

I wrote a very long and detailed letter to LR Australia when I had my D1 detailing the faults installed in it by Rolfe and didn't get much action apart from a chat with the service manager who I already knew quite well by that stage....
Although in fairness that was probably in 1999/2000

Unfortunately I don't think much has changed, atleast in the last 3 or 4 months. Although I appreciate a stereo isn't exactly a performance/safety issue, I was starting to get a little impatient after my 4th visit (especially as it's a work car ). I sent emails to both LRA and the dealer (service manager), I know they got them as I have the reciepts, but failed to hear a peep from either of them!

I much preffer the capabilities of canberra motor works rather than "rolfe". and im not driving to sydney to get the car serviced.

I have just sold a two year old VW Golf. The main reasons were the vehicle was often requiring small warranty claims attended to (nothing serious enough to grind it to a halt but annoying little things that went wrong).

In EVERY instance, except once, when the replacement parts were ordered they would invariably have the incorrect parts arrive (after waiting a month to arrive)!! I could not work out if they were ordering the wrong parts or VW were just sending the wrong ones. This seemed to be a regular occurrence.

The other L/Rover service people that seem to be OK, from people I've spoken to, are Morwood Motors in Fyshwick (they've just moved to Townsend St).

    Dennis.
That's where I get my parts.

Last time Rolfe quoted me their price I told them how much cheaper I could get bits for. THey did ask me to ring each time so they could use it to complain to Land Rover about why they get cained in the parts and service game.
