I personally am not touched by the ad, but then again I am fairly ad-resistant and can't drive anything but a series/defender :D.
That said, I believe that they're trying to go a bit higher up in the market than compete with the multitude of jap softroaders, and I guess then that the targeted demographic would be a bit more upmarket. As the ad appears to be.
I hope it works well - and sells many; it's what Land Rover need (buyers could later be convinced to upgrade :p).
BTW, you all mustn't have been awake when I noticed the numberplates! ;)
