New MT/Rs + Chains. Off to Falls snowboarding for a week.
Just got some new Goodyear MT/Rs fitted to the RR. Had to get some new 19" rims as the originals were 18" and I couldn't get the MT/Rs in 18".
Got four 2nd hand RudMatic chains from Dinty which fit nicely too. MUCH easier to fit than my previous chains. Thanks for the prompt delivery BTW Dennis.
So, we are off to Falls Creek on Sunday to give snowboarding another go. Last year we tried it for the first time (after many years of skiing) and it was a buzz. Got sore bums/arms and one of the kids broke an arm but excellent when you get it all together. We were the 2 oldest boarders on the slopes - it is a young persons sport I think.
Here's the RR with its new boots:

Hi Big Jon - yep it's going v nicely and hasn't missed a beat so far.
It's going in to the new Adelaide Solitare Dealership when we get back to have the digital display readout replaced as it has lost a whole line of pixels, but other than that it's as good as new. I think they are BMW dash components, and they have a history of doing this so not surprising.

It's got the 3 litre Diesel, which is just the best (well, probably not as best as the new twin turbo V8 diesel, but I can't afford one of them). Quick off the mark for traffic light duels but still economical.
Around town it gets 11 or 12 litres/100Km, but on a cruise it goes right down to 8L/100. Not bad for three tonnes of tin. Last fill I got over 1000Km out of the tank. Brilliant.
Would be nice to get them in manual, but that's not possible.
