    3WJ 'Fender

Now i know '3wj' will fire up the radar for the Sydney mob, but $5,900 for a Defender - even for bits is worth a look - has anyone had a look?? Dunno why it can't be registered or the extent of the damage. Anyway, 02 9722 5255 or Fitzpatrick Street, Revesby is the go.

    3wj/4wd city...Hmmmmm

I’ve seen a few 4WD that I though I wouldn’t mind buying from them but always have been scared away

They also own a 4wd grave yard and I assume that a lot of the there sale cars are wacked together from there wrecking yard again a suspension

It’s obviously an insurance write off hence why it can’t be reregistered

There are some insurance write offs that can be registered - but it does take further examination in NSW by the RTA personally (I've done it, wasn't too hard). There are other write offs however that fall into the 'never again' category, and this appears to be one of them. Besides, $6k for parts is a bit steep.

Maybe not if one was using some of the parts to upgrade a V8 County, e.g., disc brake rear end, aircon that works, replace stuffed seats, better interior trim than the fluffy County stuff, pushbutton doors (not rusted out), etc.

    Oh, and a diesel conversion.

Then you could sell the stuff you took off the county - hmm, maybe not.

One could easily sell the leftover Defender shell and ROOF

It is probably been made up of all the left over parts from 50 other cars. I bet things have been bunged together with dodgey welds and liquidnails.

Don't do it. Don't put money in the pockets of these creeps. If 3wj couldn't find someone dodgy from their networks to give it a tick for a roadworthy imagine how bad it must be.

still took them 2 weeks to replace 1x headlight and wire up a trailer plug, that they still got wrong...
