I looked at that image & couldn't help but wonder what that gloop is on the LH side.

This is one of the best threads I have seen in a long time. This is what happened at Chaos Manor about 12 months ago and somehow I survived.
SWMBO always knows where to find me now if I don't answer immediately.
I am sure you will survive and Elisabeth will tell stories about it later as Shirley does now.

Fish oil?

I just realised that couldn't be us. I don't fish. I last went fishing 45 years ago. I can't take fish off the hook, I can't stand the feel of a fish (and I rarely eat them anyway).

It was the same when I used to fly model aircraft - I'd always be in the garage building them.

If the Landie was in the backyard, I'd be really in trouble. At least it's out of sight. You see, part of the problem is that I was recently offered my old Hillman Hunter Royal 660 (bought new in 1971) back from the bloke who bought off us. I wasn't allowed to get it for myself - so I collected it and took it to my son's place in Newcastle.

Chaos Manor? Were you a reader of Jerry Pournelle in Byte magazine?

Good to see another reader of Pournelle. His columns were the first thing I read in Byte.

Re my beast, this afternoon I asked Elisabeth if she'd like to have a look at the 2A. She declined saying "You don't really have it."

One can only do so much....
