As a young Tank driver, had to drain 5ltr of fuel from each tank as part of the monthly service. So I crawl under to the fuel drain acess cover, undo it, crack the drain plug, slowly undo that then it poped and I coped a face full. Jamed my finger it the hole and had a flow of deisl down my arm. There was over 400lts above me waiting. Spent what seem a long time feeling around for this dam plug and yelling for help. My boss came to my rescue with a new plug from the spaners. After while changing I found the origanal plug down my shirt.

he made a paper trough which he used to guide the oil down to the waste oil container.
Same with mine except its made of sheet metal. It also works for the gearbox oil that naturally wants to pour onto the crossmember!!!

Having done the bung thing before I now

    1. Remove bung.
    2. Clean bung.
    3. Place bung on oil filler cap in rocker cover.

There is no way I'm going to waste $30 of oil again

I still have to make the small catcher for the filter oil spill though.

G'day All, I hate the the big O ring, and if you don't hold the canister down and steady as you tighten the bolt it will pick the O ring and kink it thus when you start engine, to run oil around before topping it up it piddles out everywhere, that only caught me once without a container under the engine, I do have a spin filter block but have never got round to fitting it anyway cheers Dennis
