Not a hell of a lot, the bump in the bonnet will make it hard to mount a spare up there lol

I like the bonnet bulge too bad its not because of a whopping 6 litre chev V8 which they should have

The new (Ford) motor is taller.

    Battle of the bulge

Should keep LR lovers arguing for years to come

The new engine (the Ford Transit) is taller than the previous LR engines. The bulge was necessary to get it in.

I don't mind it myself. Not as big a change as moving the grill forward with the Stage 1.

I hadn't noticed the absence of the vents. Still, they probably aren't necessary since it has air conditioning now.

Edited to add: Is it just my eyes or is the new one smaller than the old one?

When I was driving my 1981 Series 3 Stage 1 around, my father pointed out a Defender Extreme and asked "How much older than yours is that one?"
