    It's been a busy week...

I've been flat chat transforming my Series III from 'gardening green' to proper camouflage green, in the process of which I've learned how (not) to use an electric spray gun. Everything I own now seems to have green overspray on it. The results are passable... from a distance. I'm hoping Expo day will be dull and overcast!
A certain vehicle for which I had arranged professional transport from Melbourne to Sydney will now not arrive in time for the Expo due to the inability of the transport company personnel to distinguish between the terms "next Friday" and "the following Friday". Still it is, technically, on it's way. Here is a photo:

And finally a bit of good fortune, thanks to a tip-off from the all-seeing Ron, I have sourced the missing bits of the Pioneer Tool holders for my Series III and collected them this arvo. I'll be helping with the preparations for the Expo tomorrow but with luck will have enough time to paint and fit them before Sunday. I hope to catch up with lots of AULROians there.

Edd - the owners of ex-military vehicles (the REMLR guys) who are local are forming up a convoy on Sunday and if all goes to plan I will be joining them.
I think REMLR has it's own row at the Expo which is just behind the AULRO section.
    Here's a before 'n' after of my 109 -

    Almost done -

    Thanks all!
I will take my camera and get some pics but I've got a feeling it's going to be flat chat for the first half of the day at least - I'm helping with the gate and possibly some of the demonstrations.
The row behind AULRO is for a "military vehicle club" so now I don't know if that is REMLR or not - guess I'll find out when we get there!
I've just finished painting the pioneer tool mounts - have to bolt them on in the morning. Now that the bodywork is painted it really shows up the worn, faded, stained chassis...

Thanks Matt, it really has completely changed the vehicle. I ran out of time (and paint) to do the interior and it's a shocking spray job but fortunately that paint is the most forgiving stuff in the world so it only looks bad from close up.
    See you there!
