    wattagans

    Hey Dobbo

Just thought we'd tell you about what a great time we're having out here. Sloppy mud puddles, awesome hill climbs, sphinkter pinching declines and the odd recovery or two. It's turned into a day/nighter to be proud of. Heading home for a beer and to reminise with the boy about the day and the trucks that took us for the ride.
    Catch ya mate

Dirty ABS sensors therefore no traction control, plus I couldn't get the mud tyres on + I'm losing a heap of money for not working tommorow so I had to work this morning and the big one SHE nicked my car for F*****g pony club duties. I got it dirty about 1 1/2hrs ago though, just a quick one.

is there some way to protect the sensors so they dont get mud on them? Where on the car are they?

Yup, don't drive a D2 in mud up to the doors, or be like another people and only use a maxidrive and low range to tow the boat up the driveway.

What a great day/night trip this was.

We started out from LRH's place around 2pm and after a quick stop for some pies and sausage rolls, we headed north towards the Wattagans.

Now dont ask me any names of the tracks as I was just following the leader, but we found some great stuff, mainly rocky/boulder type steep climbs with some mud thrown in here and there. Lots of cross axle situations and I really got to test out the new springs and locker.

I managed to get hung up in a mud hole, across a large tree but was soon recovered backwards by Weeds and after another go at it with a little more speed, got over and out the other side to a nice cold beer.

We came across a group who had a vehicle stuck with a broken tie rod end, but they had managed to rip one out of a wrecked Ford lying in the bush up there and were doing their best to fit it and continue on their way.

We went around them up another rocky climb and through some over grown track, to meet up with the intended route on the other side.

We home at LRH's around 8:30, munching pizza and guzzling beers.

Thanks to LRH and Discowhite for taking us on a bit of a tour of the area's tracks. I had a ball and will definetly get up there again in the future for a longer stay.
    Cheers
