    Glad you got the vehicle home ok.

    It would be a good idea to have the radiator cap pressure tested.

    I had a problem with a VW golf that blew the plastic tank from the radiator and a few hoses. It turned out that the system was reaching too high a pressure because the cap was faulty.

    With proper cap tester can you take it to a mech as he should have one or a rad repair shop should have one its an atachment that goes on a rad press tester

    cheers seeing as it split a second time i will get the whole thing tested the rdaiator has been pressure/chemical tested, and came up alright but ill test the cap.

    Not necessarily, especially with the modern caps. They may not have bought a tester to suit even though they should. A radiator place should be able to.

    bad fitment

    crud in the system

    could be anything but I'd say age and the extreme climate you guy have down there (very hot summers and very cold winters) I'd change all the hoses and keep the old ones as spares
