Mig welding book

Hi Landy Andy,

For myself I have looked into welding & doing Automotive and panel beating course at TAFFE. (plan to restore my old Landy & need some extra skills)

I have a PDF of a welding guide sent to me by Lincoln Electric if you would like a copy (quite technical though). If you give me your email address I can send it to you. (also a simple welding/cutting guide using oxy if you wish)

TAFFE seem to be shutting down there Automotive and panel beating courses one by one, the big one left is taught out of Ultimo in the CITY - 92173827 (Automotive section)

Regarding your little boy, welding is a very good trade to get into. There is a shortage of class A welders in the city because they are all chasing the big money out west..(new gold rush). There is also good money in the specialist areas such as pressure & underwater etc..

When some companies with pressure piping have a shutdown/upgrade, they are forced to bring in some welders from asia. The koreans in particular are among the best tig welders (if not the best).

I would appreciate a copy as well.

You must be getting sick of all these requests - is there not just a files area on the forum where you can post them and any interested party can access them? Would make your life much easier.

Yep your rite john tho tig welding is not a hard thing to master if ya do enough of it it becomes second nature like riding a bike :D:D:D:D

I dont mind but its heaps easier to email one file to several people so I'll email it again some time tomorrow and CC any other requests.

I agree Chris, but welding large pipes in a complex plant sorts out the sheep from the goats. The good korean welders use a slightly different technique and they are very good (but not as good/fast as the robots).
