Thread: Calling all Canberra enthusiasts

im in canberra. however after today the defender is not mobile for at least 3 days or so till i sort its head gasket drama

yuck, there always fun the old head gaskets, oh well I shall issue a prayer for her speedy repair and that u dont throw too many tools about as I do

I'm in canberra, and wouldn't mind a "tech night"

the gaskets are prety cheap but they dont miss you with the head bolts but im replaceing the vacume pump as well and at $360 is the cheapest i have found. where should this tech night be held?

I'm near Canberra. Commute in during the week. Keep your fingers crossed that the Fender will be mobile by Monday morning!
Lost half of today recovering the POS ford. This means that if the Fender isn't done I have no transport

G'day guys and girls

Not in Canberra presently but looks like we'll be moving down there in the first week or two in October......Would be interested in a get together or some local knowledge of the area....I really need to get out more.....

I guess we get an idea of suburbs and find somewhere central, unless someones got a nice heated garage and easy going wife who would tolerate one or two who had a little too much techinical talk if u get my drift.
I always wanted to be part of a decent family orientated club that did a few runs around the place like to a nearby country town and crack it for a bbq in the town park and have abit of a swan around, or rally days anything to get the old girls out and about, thats my idea of a club minus all the politics and various levels of bull****e associated with some of the bigger clubs, and whats more free to join!
