Hey Ron, get a prof to do it.
And dont be anywhere nearby when it falls
And when its down get 'em to slice it up for firewood,
then sell what you dont need to cover the cost.

They want nearly a thousand dollars to drop the tree!
If my neighbours (who also want it down) didn't have a swimming pool right behind it, I'd pull the fence panels out and drop the tree in their back yard.

that doesn't supprse me
recently we had the neighbours tree or part of fall and cruch the fence (the fence that we replaced and the neighbour refused to give us money towards it) it took 3 months for the neighbour to finally replace the two damaged fence panels......
we think the tree as got white ants in it so now we are waiting for the rest of the tree to fall and crush our shed which might i add got damaged due to the first hit......then we can get it demolished at his expense
my guess is thats why he is not getting rid of the tree in his garden too much expense
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Ron, you have mentioned your extraordinary abilities before...
now there are neighbours and a swimming pool...
how's all your insurances?

You could try contacting your local SES. They might need some practice in return for a donation.
It worked for my mum a few years ago .

Or get the car out and put in on a very convenient and dangerous lean.
We've had several tree's 'snap' near their base over the past few years...so that they stop dropping sticks through the roof.
But then, as has been said, that's part of the luxury of not living in suburbia.
The other trick if your not in suburbia is wait till summer and chat with the local bush fire captain. They might agree and order it's removal. We requested the dead trees out the front be removed almost 4 years ago. Council still hasn't looked at them. Electricity company ask a year ago if we objected to them cutting them back and still haven't been back. So far 2 have gone. one I used the winch on as it was on our land. The other just couldn't hold the Landy on the slope.
