I know what you mean, I've heard a lot about delaminating, but personally I think that the issue with Coopers(at least the ones I have), is poor vulcanisation of the rubber in the mould.
That is, the rubber at the time of curing in the mould(press/temp governed) has been subjected to too much temp resulting in the rubber turning ever so slightly Brittle by its nature, and they simply are slowly perishing at the joints.
It's not the carcas of the tyre that has been weakened, it's all the rubber joints on the seams.
There are no cracks where the thread section is laminated to the carcas, if they were there, than they would be off in a minute.....
I have done many highway k's on these, and never had to rebalance, nor is there any pulling at speed, and I think at high speed highway wheel rotation, any of these symptoms would be indicative of the structure of the tyre being somewhat compromised.
I inspect the tyres regularly, so I'm kind of respectfull of how I drive, and what I'm driving on......
....."I'm just concerned that they will go at pace".....
Mate, in a Defender at "pace", the tyres are the last thing on my mind..........lol....lol....:D:D:D
