Anyone had dramas with Cooper tyres

My new work ute was supplied with Cooper discoverer ATR's, after just 8000km all four tyres seem to be perishing approx 1-2 cm out from the rim and have some slight cracking. I have also been told by other people in the area that the side walls have been letting go in this particular brand of tyre, usually at inapropaite times and very suddenly. And before anyone asks, no they have not been run flat

Has anyone here had this happen or is this a normal wear pattern for this tyre. I would be interested in any feedback frm people who have or know about these tyres. Ths is my first experience with these tyres and I fear it is going to be a painful one

I have Cooper ST, same problem happened after first couple of thousand km's, small cracks about an inch from the rim.
Have done almost 50,000 k's on them now, and it has not gotten any better or worse.
Never rotated, off road at 25psi, plenty of mixed terrain, some tearing of lugs/thread blocks, one flat through a sidewall, one current slow leak, wearing really good, I'm treating them like S##T, 'cause I got upset when they cracked, and the Shop that sold them said it was quite normal for these...

Running them into the ground without remorse, will not but again........live and learn......

I had coopers on my old 83 cherokee and had the tread disbond from the sidewalls just from hitting a patch inthe road where road worked had raked about 2 inches of bitumen, I hit it at 120 and bang, off she came, it did a **** load of damage to the Cherokee and the tyre was about 3 months old, the other 3 were thrown away next day and I went back to khumho powerguards.

That is interesting, this is the only drama I have had with them so far and I have found these ones not too bad in the mud either, I am just concerned that they will let go at pace

There was a well documented issue with ST's delaminating a couple of years ago, but I thought that was all sorted now (except for the massive lawsuits in the US).

I've got STT's and have had no problem with them, but they weren't part of the issue.
