I have been the last 6 years and it just gets better and better.

Look out for the Landies over by the fence. Numpty and Numpty's Missus are going as well as a few other critters who love a few sherberts, a big campfire and a punt.

    see you there

    Ah, that Louth.
I just could not recall a race track at Louth SA.

Sorry, not this year at least.

    Shorty.

Well another great weekend, with a great bunch of friends. This time though suffered a bit more from sleep deprivation. Long drive home yesterday getting back just after 7:30pm.
We came from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Manilla (nr Tamworth)

    Our group

Music from the camp next door

    Louth races

Roast - Pork, beef and heaps of veges

Breakfast on the barby - Sunday morning, bacon, eggs, veg patties, sausages, and mushrooms.

    Ahhh what a life...

Its a Pentax K10D (with Sigma 18-200mm) only picked it up on the Monday, was busy Monday night, changing uni joints on the Landy Tues night and shopping for the trip on Wed night, so I was using it as a bit of a point and shoot for the first few shots. I did start to experiment later in the weekend - hopefully I (and hence the photos) can only get better.

We did a stopover last night at Lalguli Reserve west of Goondiwindi...a very quiet night under the stars.

We took our 20yr old son with us for his 1st Louth encounter and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'll write up a proper report in the coming days

That breakfast Sunday morning was beautiful
It wouldn't be hard to have a very quiet night out in the bush - especially away from Louth on race night.

The two pics I mentioned Bushie, are good.
Depth of field in 'the race', and your camera has 'blackness' as in both....which is unusual these days.
But, Pentax devices do things unusually, a bit like LRs...

If you dont mind, I've pinched 'the brekky' as a
    screen background

Reminds me, I should cook on the BBQ, a bit more than I do

    Nice shots.

I'll be dropping the rest into photobucket over the next few days - when I've done it I'll put the link up.
