While my beast is ex army I dont figure on giving her a drab paint job anytime soon, she can stay nato white for a while I still want to tart her up with some of the exmil gear as it will serve a purpose, the tools dont need to be ex army I am not that pure, but when I scrounge up my own 2a it will be a different story go fully sick on it then,
If you aren't fussed about originality and are handy with a grinder, you can make tools fit the brackets.
Practically any pick will fit, the hard part is the shovel and the axe. I have an axe from bunnings - just needed some trimming of the handle and the blade (and re-sharpening). The same goes for the full-sized spade I have - slight blade trimming and about 2" shortening of the handle.
G'day All, Just for info the last complete set of Pioneer tool holders etc I saw for sale to suit Land Rover were for sale at $250.00 no but's just $250.00 so that gives you an idea, any that you see buy em quick cheers Dennis:wasntme::angel:
I got a box of stray 2a and 3 junk mainly all ex mil, lotsof little brackets and stuff, drive a man mad trying to guess what they are, I think I have the axe holder but its missing the retaining bolt and wing nut, I can make some thing I guess, there are a few ads from guys looking for some of the bits I have and I will pass them on but still have a nice ex army steering wheel horn button assembly if anyone wants it let me know
Just as an aside, does anybody know if FFR's were fitted with two sets of tool brackets, as I know of one that is. Just want to know if that's normal. The second set are behind the seats.

That's the only vehicle that had tool brackets behind the seats apart from some of the LRPV's.
