Smile Got caned by a Landy today

We were coming home from the hospital I had my central line removed, we stopped at the lights and this crappy old series 3 landy 109 pulled up spewing black smoke, had 3.9 badges on guards, the lights went green and it went like scolded cat, blew us away and we were doing the 80 k limit he was doing over a ton, should I be embarrassed?

No, as when he loses his licence and kills his donk, you will still be driving with a smile on your face.

I was driving back to Brisbane airport from the Gold Coast today, sitting at 110k's in the rental car, when this Defender trayback pulls out from a few cars back and literally flies past me in the outside lane like I was standing still. Heaven knows what he had in the thing, but it flew. Didn't think waving from a sky blue Toyota piece of rental junk would have got me the acknowledgement I'm used to when in the Fender though.

I used to drive a chevvy powered defender ute every now and then, enjoyed the look on faces when it pulled away...

    Sounded like a nascar too.

Best fun I had in a 'fender 110.

    Steve.
We installed a new dux water heater 2 year ago. $650.
    Last night it stopped working.
Rang dux and they told told me that they are so so proud of their product that they are prepared to put a 12 month warranty on it !!!
I was told that it was my own fault for not checking
the length of the warranty period when I baught it.
    Guess what I said ?
Once upon a time things lasted.
We have also done two fridges in five years !
I am now going to check out gas water heaters.
    Cheers.

PS: I wonder if you can still buy chip heaters ?
