42 :eek::o:o
I'm 42 next birthday, I thought this only happened to older blokes. TIC
Your right though life is short,, even if you make it to 120,,, life is short.
The little things do matter. when my dad went at 58, I had been a close mate with him... grew up talking about everthing and anything... cars, woman, politics, how stupid I was, how senile he was... and yet there are still things I didnt tell him.
Since he went, I have just let "living" be important, I try and be open and direct with people, my good and bad thoughts about them, just not malicious or political... and I seem to get much more out of life now, lifes to short.
You dont have to be old............
When i was 29 i had a scare, heart decided to play tricks on me.... God was telling me to slow down... so i bought a Landrover...... Ha Ha ha ha ha
I hope everything stays ok twitchy
G'day Twitchy :)
Sorry to hear that you have had a hearty :( it was only a few weeks ago that myself and the management were talking at Mt Mee:) You, like me, probably got no warning pains just  mine in 2000, followed up in 2001 with Quad By-Pass, but I appreciate each and every day now and look at the world differently, and don't let things stress me, just stick to the Dr's orders and take you time recovering as you often don't get a second chance to recover;)
cheers
Hmm appreciate the posts from yourself and some others of late, firstly for being man enough to post in the first place and second for giving the likes of myself something to think about, moreso as a couple of you are only slightly older than myself. As someone else said " I thought it only happened to older people". Methinks its time to doing something about the smokes, 3-4 stubbies an evening and general lack of exercise, especially with 3 young children. All the best mate and thanks for the post,
Regards
Stevo
Geez Twitchy, look after yourself !
and yes, you've just scared me a touch too. Same bloody age......
I was diagnosed with cancer going on 6 yrs ago told it would have me in 6mths not willing to accept this so 6 yrs later im still here even after massive heart attack in 2005 double bypass but like my land rovers of past ill keep on ticking, doctors are good but the human mind and body is better. Fight the fight and love ure loved ones and eat right more importantly think right and survival will follow.
Regards
Tim from Tassie.
All the above is true fact.
The scar on my face is from cancer removal but i reckon it is my battle scar just like a ding on my rover.
Yeah 42 is pretty young to get that sort of thing. Glad you survived ok.
Any obvious reasons why it happend (you know - are you 50 a day smoker or off the dial on the scales etc)?
