I think its like any "new" product that gets released, there will be bugs to iron out & its not just the LandRover fraternity.

Things will get better & yes lets hope all gets sorted before we get them.

I hope not - my job depends on warranty claims !!

I remember back in 1994, Land Rover were so confident that the P38a was fully sorted out that they said I'd be out of a job .
Needless to say, I'm still working .

    Defender probs.

    You're right Dawg.
I've just done a trip through the Pilbara in my '97 Defender without a hitch.
Another trip member who shall remain nameless plunged into a short pool of just under bonnet high water, stopped, got pulled back and in the end the passenger side computer had been drowned. Disco 2.
It did restart eventually but wouldn't do anything except reverse slowly so was towed to Marble Bar and RAC took him to the agent in Karratha where the fault was correctly diagnosed.
Apparently it could have been saved if it had been removed and dried out but he was relying on a long range diagnose from Perth which thought it was the crank angle sensor with water in it.
Another holiday ruined like ours was last year by the Throttle Potentiometer.
Bugger the computer controlled vehicles, they may be more powerful (and faster) than my 300 Tdi but I'm sticking with it.
