    My fetish

Think I have a problem guys.
    Got a growing chainsaw collection!!!!
A couple of weeks ago I finally managed to get hold of an Echo twin cylinder to use to re-build my very first chainsaw that tragically got squashed in a tree.Been told by 2 chainsaw shops they are as rare as,and are already worth more than their new price to collectors.Have been advised to restore it and lock it up for 10 years!!!!
Bought a monster out of the Quokka today.Husky 3120XP,went out and cut a load of wood this arvo, its a matter of hold on!!! what a beast!!!! 120ccs and a 4 foot bar!!!!Cuts thru 4 foot logs like my 64cc Dolmar cuts 2 foot logs,WICKED!!!!!
    Will get some pics tommorow.

You are not alone! I had 6 at one stage, but am now down to 3 older Stihl saws. One is over 20 years old and still runs like new. Better built than the new Stihl stuff I reckon.

You can never have too much power in a chainsaw (or car, HiFi, computer, or gun, etc etc).

A farmer mate of mine gave me an old echo that they had not started in 7 or so years as they had worn a hole in the fuel tank, it was set up as a borer.

I plugged the hole up and search the net and it was made in the late 70's early 80's, finally found a new bar for it, topped her up with fuel and she started on the third pull.

When I went to the mower shop the model no. did not appear in any of the books they reckon it must have only ever been released in the USA, my mate has two others so there must have been at least brought into aus.

The only thing I'm missing and the tree spike for the front.

    Hi Weeds
They were sold thru Wesfarmers to farmers over here, the early ones were really good, the current ones arent so good. They won an ARMY contract with the newer saws which went pearshaped due to machine failure.
Which model is yours ??? mine are 610CST(wrecked one) and 600CST

The ECHO's I used to work on in the ARMY in the 90's were a pretty solid saw except for the engine/vibration mounts.
