If you dont mind me asking what was the lengths, rates and cost of the springs that phil worked out for you?

Discowhite and profit margin do not go hand in hand.
Discowhite covering his own costs to make such a big modification work out properly through his own generosity sounds more like the plan of attack.
Personally I'd go with the expensive variants of the shocks and springs, at least you'll get a car half enjoyable to drive on the road as opposed to wondering if this is the drive you'll be pulling the suspension down and replacing the whole lot on the side of the road which is usually associated with a cheaper option.
In short do what I have done, if you cannot afford the best variants do without till you can.
I hear ya mate but Lovells Springs over Dobinson Lovells been tested by Slunnie in this size Dobinson havent
Pro comp shocks, the guys that do have them love them from what I understand if they b y chance fail thats on me
Now as for Phil he was charging me $400 to basicly fit shocks and springs no real other mod other then that, I was going to do the other mods x member etc
and I accepted that fee not having a Dig at him its not my nature however if Graeme Cooper was charging me $350 for similar work long story short he wasnt doing me a favour and yes he was making money off it
Again its all I wanna say on my behalf no hard feeling if he doesnt ever want assist me well thats life there others
Put it this way walk into a suspension place willing to do the job, get a quote on doing the whole job from transforming your car into Slunnies complete with engineering. At a guess I'd expect $6000 - $8000 to be a fair price. (if you'd get anyone to do it)
Well not really
Spring at most $500
Shocks at most $ 800
pair of bump stops at most $400
ABS and brake lines at most $400
Cross Member to be modded 1hr work and material at Most $100
labour at most $1000
Total $3200
Im up for $1400 so far springs shocks rear air bags pump air tank
Unless you get an extreme kit from Equip or scorpion
There is a lot of merit in this. I've tried a lot of things, and developed a lot of things to a setup that I know works very well. As soon as you depart from that then it's up to you to make it work, but it wont be right straight out of the box. The shock setup was the trickiest bit in my opinion and just sticking in any other shock (unless adjustable somehow) wont give you the right balance on the 4WD. I'm happy to show the shock dyno sheets etc from the modifications (which are different to that pictured on my website) so that you can buy something else that may be appropriate, or so that you can modify them to suit. If the shocks that you're looking at come in comfort and sport specs they may also work. If you're not into heavy touring perhaps (as much as I hate to say it!) the Rancho 9000 or adjustable Tough Dogs may be another option.
At the moment all I can think of that you have forgoton is:That should put a few more pennies on it for you.
- castor ball correction and/or cranked radius arms
- engineering (to make it legal)
- custom front shaft
- custom rear shaft (remove rotorflex and get uni fitted)
- Modification to the watts linkage (as mentioned previously)
