    Operation 4 or so lift

    Hi guys

Finally now that the WRX is almost sold I can start shopping

First thing first with the help of Disco White Ive chosen Dobinson 4 inch springs front 220lbs rear 260Ibs at $250 a pair a bargin

Shocks are still a bit hazey OEM LTR sound good or Bilsteins are the way so far uncertian if LTR are available though for my fit the easiest set of shocks to get would be Rancho but not going down that road may look into Koni as well but will have to consult the gurus

my chassis support cross member needs to be moded to clear the front prop shaft speacial thanks to Slunnie for this bit of information may call on the help of any metal fabricators for this one

I have to mod the rear ACE sway bar connectors using front connectos if im not mistaken Again valuable info from Slunnie

any way not to get to far ahead of my self

The shocks will be the hardest to sort out, not the rates but the open and closing lengths, min will be 630mm open and 393 closed, Patrol rears are those lengths.
The biggest hassle is the front shocks, because of the way they mount at the bottom, that's were the Patrol rears will need a reducing bush and a cross pin made to mount them.

Personnally i think you should only go 3", i'm going back to this height mainly to get back some drivability and being able to fit shocks properly.

I have the same lift as Slunnie, 4" on Lovells coils.

If your close you can take mine for a drive to see how it rides.

You have a PM if you empty your inbox

Phil will sort out what you need, he's good with lifts.

For the Lovells springs at least, fitting rear shocks hasn't been a prob for me. I run the lower bar pin (standard D2 configuration) made by Rancho (Now 4WD1) into the normal Patrol rear shock lower mount. I've done this with Rancho twice and now Bilstein without problem.
    Cheers

So what your saying Slunnie is that rear of a Patrol has the same set up a D2 pin instead of eye there for slots in OK
