Wheels Across a Wilderness- Leyland Bros

I was just leafing through a Big W DVD catalogue that arrived today and they have the above DVD @ $26.87.
This film was my "inspiration" to buy a Landie way back in 1969. Maybe its been out on DVD for some time, but I have been looking now and again and never found it.
Whoopeee off to Big W tomorrow.

See the one where they were all jammed in an old dunnydoor, the fuel pump went so the jury rigged the windscreen washer bottle as a tank and pump, putting along down the track fingering the washer motor to give her fuel, then they got a flat and the buggers took of wheel nuts using a pairof plyers, I thought that was a bit rich.

This is where Tv has gone down the girgler, stuff like the Leyland bros and Harry butler was good tv, it was benificial in that it did its part to promote Australia for what it is, then came Albey mangles and buggered the whole thing up with the world safari movies, we should go back to tv like that and less simpsons and other american rubbish

    Simpsons?

The only Simpson I'm interested in is the Simpson Desert! You're right about American crap on Commercial(not really free to air, given that last year advertisers spent $3.5 billion with "free to air" TV. Figure that out as all that advertising cost is added to the products you buy). The yanks spend say $500,000 per episode on their lousy sitcoms and commercial stations here buy 'em for about $10k.

getting of topic again, we in Oz have a fantastic TV and film making facilities with great actors, yet they think coz they can buy all this yank crap cheaper we want to watch it, all the CSI this CSI that its all too much, wheres the Australian content? atleast giveme re runs of Dads Army thats way funnier and much better TV for the kids,

Just look at who controls TV in Australia. Flamin' yanks.

Especially foxtel, just try and find Australian content there! 9, 7 and 10 are rubbish as well. Today Tonight is nothing to do with what happened today being expended upon tonight. Current Affair shows diet fads, skin products etc. What's current about that?

And no I don't consider neighbours, home and away, Australian idol, big brother to be real Australian content. Even game shows are just cheap knock offs from yank rubbish.

The government should deregulate the TV industry and allow some real competition.

I think I will also go to Big W and buy the Leyland dvd, hang on .... Fathers Day around the corner.
