Am I a Landy man now?

Owned the Defender for a bit over a week now.

Had my first Landy wave a few days ago. And yesterday I was driving through the rain and ended up with a little puddle of water at my feet

So can I call myself a Landy man now?

(no oil drips on the driveway yet, will that be held against me? ... )

As a Disco driver i don't have to wave if i don't feel like it and my passenger gets the puddle at their feet, not me

    G'day Mojo

Welcome to AULRO and the world of 110's and Defenders they do have some hidden features (Well Hidden) like water leaks and oil leaks, BUT they look good even if they are 30 years oldthe shape is ageless and you can see all 4 corners, and others can see you, you get a lot of respect at Round-a Bouts

    cheers

Yeah, the puddles don't bother me. In fact, none of the little quirks I've discovered so far bother me, they just give the car more character!

As for getting respect at round-a-bouts, some guy driving a tiny little 2 door hatch back cut me off at one yesterday - I just looked at him and thought "you stupid , are you crazy"?

IMHO your not a landy owner untill youve had one of the following happen.

    1. Been called out of your hotel room as the valet driver cant get it to move
    2. been asked to go and move your vehicle as there is a worrying oil stain developing on the nice white concrete underneath it
    3. advised by the police that the correct way to get into a shops car park is via the drive way, not up and over the footpath, through the nature strip and into the one you just spotted, REGARDLESS of how many laps youve just done not being able to get a park (extra points if he does it from the car that you just stopped getting the park you just took)

Were you following me on my honeymoon?

I think I should get double bonus points on the valet parking, though, as I took the Workshop Trailer along as well

And as for where the puddle forms, in my car at present, it's everywhere but the seat cushions!

You forgot being pulled over by a policeman due to the fact he cannot read your numberplate due to the mud.
