Can't remember for sure, but I think it was the Berlin Chamber Orchestra with the Brandenburg Concertos 1, 2 & 3.
I don't think I have ever bought vinyl records, but could be wrong - I have certainly bought 78s, prerecorded reel to reels and prerecorded cassettes, but the first ones I got are lost in the mists of time.

my very first tape i got was smash hits 88' .... thought i was pretty cool at the age of ten :D
