If You are scared of the dark get Lightforce! The wife has a set of XGT's and they are awesome. I have a scope mounted spottie and hand held spottie as well and they are fantastic also. Aftersales service is out of this world. However they do cost a lot.
I just looked into the LF 170 they seem like a reasonable $$ just not sure how they would go, have decided to stick with the small ipfs i have and when i get decent lf's i will put them up on the roof, cheers everyone
BEFORE you think about changing brands, consider installing HIDs, my old IPFs and current Cibies are bl--dy fantastic since I added the 35watt HIDs. Everyone thinks they are an old pair of Cibies, so no real theft problem, (also have put a hose clamp steady on the top to the bull bar, to ensure they are easy to adjust.
They need to be tightly mounted to a firm surface..Quote:

Use filters to make the light do what you want.
But make sure they're bolted firmly.

I have a set of PIAA round lights and they are absolutely fabulous.
17 years old and have not missed a beat many rough gravel corrugated roads and they have worn out 3 cars.
Can be wired up high and low beam with normal car globes and have excellent reflectors.

The brackets on Lightforce are a polycarbonate with a very high percentage of glass giving a much stronger than steel apliacation, lesss weight also gives less vibration and longer globe life, the later model Lightforce are even stronger than the Older ones having more glass in the polycarbonate and also now haveing a reinforced alloy globeholder which can not shrink and break like the older bakerlite ones did. And worse comes to worse Lightforce will normallay replace any of there lights at the slightest sign of fault and in some cases even well after the warreny period is over. Roo Lites are also very good will similar performance and results all round, come with a compete waterproof loom which is good !Quote:
