It dosn't matter what order, there all mods to do.

Being a normal mortal with a partner who i love dearly, but unfortunately or fotunately has a say in where the finances go, i have to modify the Disco one step at a time.
So far i've installed the CDL internals and installed a mechanical linkage to activate CDL from the cab (landyandy style).
I've installed a TJM winchbar with driving lights and compressor for tyre inflation.
I've fabricated a three quarter length roofrack and a cargo barrier and have plans to add a storage system.
Anything that i can fabricate myself i do as i have access to material easily and cheaply.
Now, i want to put in a 2" lift, a snorkel and dual battery system, but in what order???
Any advice?

Id go the dual battery before the snorkle as if you do up your airsystem before you install the second battery you can find yourself redoing it after you put the second battery on the left side.

Sorta depends on what sort of trips your doing and if your away for a while.
Get the lift if you like the rough stuff, the snorkel if your heading somewhere with deep water or dust, or the battery if your staying there for a while and need to run a fridge...
What sort of tyres are you running?
Angus
Mainly weekend trips into the Vic High Country at the moment, hopefully we'll get enough rain for water to be a problem, the extra clearance a lift would give would come in handy, don't have a fridge yet but want my electrical system set up correctly for fridge, lights and down the line a winch
Am running Dunlop Adveturer LT235/70R16's at the moment. They came with the Disco and i can't complain about em really so they'll stay on untill i wear em out.
I've heard that a second battery in the engine bay of a Disco is no good because it's too close to the turbo and the resulting heat from the turbo is a problem??? Any truth to this?
I've considered mounting a second battery near the SLS compressor or in the rear bin(don't have third row seats)
Any coments from people who've installed batteries in either of these positions?
pfafh, thats what heat shields are for... putting it with the SLS compressor puts it down near the chassis from memory but the back is fine.
I have a spot on the LH sponson for a box that has 2 deep cycle batteries in it for solo extented trips or when i think I'll be abusing my compressor and occasionally Ive been known to mount them so far in the back that I need to tow a trailer..![]()

you could try making some diff guards
IMHO an essential off road mod second only to tyres.
especially the way I drive !![]()
