    Shannons Eastern Creek Classic

    folks,
anyone looking for a fun blokey day out tomorow? (26/8/07)
head out to eastern creek. they have the biggest show and shine you've ever seen, something like 1700 old and restored cars, including........the only 4wd club affilliated with the CMC (council of motor clubs), the land rover owners club.
why? because we have a good amount of historic vehicles in the club and some of them are on show tomorrow.
they have some of the old classic race vehicles doing laps at lunchtime and each club gets to do a parade lap.
we did have 18 vehicles but due to various reasons 2 have dropped out.
we have vehicles from series 1's and series 2's up to a rangie on historic plates my defender and my wife's 2004 disco 2.
unfortunately they don't want ultra modified cars, more ones that are historically significant or representative of the manufacturer's specification (hence the disco).
it's a top day, so if you're in sydney and have bugger-all to do, go for a run out to eastern creek
