    day trips around adelaide

heading off today on my first trip in the disco, being adelaide hills based and just having a day its always hard to find somewhere to go and do some off road stuff, i have been looking ever since we shifted back from the south east (where the 4wding is great) i have found a place on the net called saunders george sanctury its 1400 hectares and has a 4wd track in and around it. I will take some photos, if your like me and adelaide based and not been there you might find it a good day, cheers

There used to be some fabulous fire trails between Skye and Summertown which skirted the back of Clealand Nature Reserve, but of course these have been closed off because of idiots dumping cars and rubbish along the tracks.

I don't know of anything close to Adelaide to go and play any more.

We actually built our own rally track in my front paddock to make it easy to have some muddy fun without having to drive for miles. It's more for hacking around at high speed than difficult 4WDing but still lots of fun. We've got a Celica and a Civic (paddock bashers) that you can't tell the original paint colour 'cause they are so covered in mud.
