    costliest part for disco

Was just looking at the roverparts site to see if the story that p38 brake master cylinders were really as expensive as ive been told

    bloody hell!!!!
just wondering what the single most outragously priced thing on a disco is, some thing that gives you that feeling of backside violation, when you can only go genuine or genuine aftermaket?

stuff like modules would be expensive i guess and srs stuff?

Probably one reason why used car dealers will only pay a pittance for that model.

Costliest price I have been quoted on repairs was a new chassis close to $15000.00 installed

I don't know what the most expensive part is but I'd put money on it being invloved with ABS/traction control. Perhaps the main ECU.

The most expensive part I've bought for my Disco1 (besides tyres) cost about $70 and it was the brake master rebuild kit STC2901.

I need a bush for the ACE short arm bar thingy on my D2. I was quoted about $200.00 for this sealed bush. I also need a new water pump for my series 3 2.25 diesle, was quoted by a partcular spare parts place at silverdale in sydney at over $300.00 bucks. but then shoped around and can get one through my local auto shop for $90.00 bucks. so it dos pay to make a few calls.

$900 for a secondhand steering box, couldnt get a new one for 300 TDI disco and I would hate to know how much a new one would have been anyway.

Note to self, dont land the steering box on to of a stump, they dont like it.
