I did a project management course a while back. The airtrain was sited as an example of where the project was delivered on time and on budget - but it did something nobody wanted or needed :eek: lol

My wife and I used the Airtrain once. I forget how long it took us to get from the airport to Runcorn but it was an awfully long time. Especially considering it takes 35mins by car if there is minimal traffic.
It's all good and well to have the trolley boys to take your bags to the terminal at the airport end but you have to change trains with them and lug them home from your station.
We have an unwritten deal within my wifes family. 99% of the time someone will drop you off and pick you up. However all but one of us live within one suburb of each other. The other lives overseas so I'm not picking them up ;)
FenianEel,A two zone ticket from Yeronga to the city is $2.70. An air train ticket can be pre-purchased months in advance for $11 at a city station. So $13.70 each one way. These are regular fares not concession. Airport Train in Brisbane does not give concession fares. However now I am a poor old pensioner, I can buy a concession ticket in Sydney at the airport and travel to my destination for a pittance.
