I wave generally everytime, Unless I am too busy watching the road.
Or if I am in a real bad mood, I don't wave... but thats not very often.
But when I am in a bad mood if someone waved to me I guess I wouldnt be in such a bad mood any more and would wave back.
I think only once have I been waved first... generally it always a response to my initial wave.
And here is a wierd one, there is a yellow toyota hilux getting around that I get waves and wave to, and somehow even after I changed my vehicle three times I still get the same wave when ever I see him :S
I rule!!!
2.4" of Pure FURY!!!
I exchanged a wave with a lighter blue Defender just yesterday. I got a wave back but he had no intention of initiating a wave but was happy to return it. It's all you can ask for.
During my drive to work this morning (first time for the new Freelander) I got a wave from a blue Defender which I would have initiated had I not been adjusting the A\C at the time he came round the corner. I think he had an AULRO sticker on the back window but can't be sure.
A few minutes later a silver Freelander 2 comes along - gave him a wave but it wasn't returned - was probably adjusting his A\C![]()
I always wave and i find only Fender drivers wave back
I'm only new to the site, however since being bitten (hard) by the LR bug, I do make an effort to waive to every LR, at the risk of weird looks.
However, I thought, would a bright AULRO sticker on the windscreen or front bumper/bull bar of each of those AULRO members that would be happy to be waived at (or get offended by not being waived) help the situation?
At the end of the day, we don't want to be encouraging everyone take their hand of the steering wheel every 2 minutes when you happen to see a LR, especially a Disco which seem to be everywhere.
Well I was thinking that I need a set of indicators as designed by Graeme Garden on the Goodies when they built a race car.
An open hand on levers on either side for turning Right or Left and in the middle a hand with two fingers raised indicating TURNING NASTY
I spent last week working in Sydney.
Going south over the Roseville Bridge on Weds, I was surrounded by 2 D3s and an RR Sport.
I don't think the 'soccer mum' drivers, knew what the Land Rover wave was...
(But the babe in the RRS was very cute!)
