    Opinions on V8 S2 Disco

    Someone has pointed me to look at a 2002 V8 S2 Disco..... pros and cons? I don't do many kms per year...

    I don't do many kms per year...

    depends on how much cheaper then diesel. My son uses a v8 to pull the boat(3ton+) to the boat ramp.Compared to the td5 its great to drive and was about 6grand cheaper then any oiler we could find.With diesel at 130a ltr and petrol at 118 a ltr it (todays price at Capalaba) it dont cost a whole lot more to run.
    PS best sounding v8 on the market.(cmon boys)

    The comments say it is a 4.6. Is that a typo or correct. It would be worth checking.

    Well, the ad says it has had $11,000 spent on it. I would HOPE its a 4.6.
    Sounds like a sleeve slipper which has been replaced or stroked.

    yes it's 4.6 - done by Bruce Davis Landys - I've seen the work done on sheet

    Does the work include "top hat" sleeves. If so it would be better than a new engine if done properly, as this mod addresses a/the major weakness of that engine.

    yes - reconditioned,throated,port matched,top sleeves etc

    Sounds good, but they drink lots.

    Must've been a real heavyweight driver, the drivers seat appears rather saggy, from the pic...

    Good luck, the price is right.
