Fair dinkum, you blokes can be damned harsh.
Here we have a bloke looking for help - and obviously not a mechanicing genius and what does he get.
"Gee $1000 is a lot - what is it for" - heeeeellllloooooo - if Cyberdidj knew what it was for he would be able to do it himself.
Plasma TV? How's that for dumping a guilt trip - I'm gonna watch E-Bay - he'll probably sell it tomorrow out of sheer guilt - in fact he might not even feed the dog for a week - in preparation for the next service after this dilemma.
Now before you all jump up and down and get all stroppy - I say this in a light-hearted but kinda meaningful way.
Why? Because I reckon I'm a bit like Cyberdidj - only a bit more advanced in the servicing world. Let me share though, it is damned daunting to post a "I don't know how to do it" post..... because a lot of you guys are more than gurus and a bloke can feel ... let's say "under-skilled" - (and that is not a bad word for 8 something on a Wednesday night!)
So, let's help the bloke.
Cyberdidj - firstly put your location up on your profile - invaluable - let me share. It tells people more than where you are.......... it tells people whether they can personally help you - and most people here (in fact more than most - Ron - what would that be called) will help you personally if they are able to.
Now, my suggestion - whack on a few beers, maybe an Adanna (do a search - a couple of blokes had one and it sounded great) and a few guys will no doubt come around to your home and supervise you completing a service on your own Disco.
Result - you learn how to service the Disco - and you make a few good mates.
It's Christmas fellas - don't be so harsh.:)
And it IS Christmas so don't jump on me. Be nice to each other - especially me and other non-mechanicing members. In fact you can send me gifts if you like - I like beer.:D
