Judging by the speed at which the lines and oncoming cars are passing, I think the speedo has been doctored to read high. The stationary objects beside the road are also not passing by quick enough for that to be honestly 270km/hr.

That would also explain why the engine note is not very high-pitched.

Seen as I came off at over 157km/per Hr (last time I saw the speedo) I could imagine with all the traffic on the road this guys demise Same bike as mine though except the road was empty when I fell (spat off)
What's wrong? They are just two lads in a hurry to share a slab together,

Beat me to it - I was going to say the same thing, there is NO way he was doing anything like 270km/h.

Knew a guy who's mate did that at around 300km/h. Bike stopped in the car but the rider continued on through a fence and stopped entangled in the second fence. All he could do was stay with the rider till he died. Rider left his legs behind with the first fence.

Honda VTR1000 SP1 same as my bike.
I would like to know how they Doctored the digital speedo as that instrument cluster is a sealed one piece Check out the tacho doctored that aswell..with factory pipes they aren't too noisy..but with a full Yoshimura Race system on like mine...sets off car alarms

The manual and dynos state top speed is 286km/h but as all speedos the err as the get faster..his is suss how it drops/washes off huge speed amounts for little visible braking?

If you think Landy parts are expensive check out my replacement list from Honda Australia:

    Clutch cover $134.71
    FRH indicator $144.49
    Rear RH indicator $126.76
    RH mirror assembly $144.86
