At low speed the disco with Ace is great but over 130 kmh around corners the BFG Mud terrains feel like they want to fold under, ha ha

    Cheers

Well Im no boy racer, and maybe I don't push hard enough nor want to. But whilst my D3 handles bloody well for a vehicle of its size, going through the windy bits, give me the missus's XR6 any day. It handles like a gem and would beat the D3 through a windy strip hands down, even with the V8 screaming. Straight line..........bit different..........I know.........we've checked

    Regards

I've driven a D3 and no doubt it's a nice ride. But a D2 with ACE and road tyres is not that far behind a D3 in the handling department as some of you D3 owners would want to admit.

then of course there is the issue that most of the poseurs in sportscars don't actually know how to drive them - hence most of the time on windy roads the Disco is right up their clacker...

Of course, I wasn't seriously suggesting that a D2 can out-handle an XR6, which actually started to make more sense the harder it was pushed...but as I implied before, around town it just felt like a taxi...

However, noone's particularly impressed if you out-handle them in an XR6...they get a bit of a shock however when you out-handle them in a 2 tonne 4WD... so much for 4WDs being inherently unstable/dangerous...
