You could check out my old 'house' at 17 Epsilon Ave
Take a run out to the lake for a giggle and ask someone local to take you out to the slag poor at night. Kajabbi is worth the drive and it is definitely worth going up to Lawn Hill if you have the time. Otherwise go up Telecom hill (towards Cloncurry end of town where the house on the hill with the cross is) (its at the end of Pamela Street from memory) at sunset for some good photo opportunities of the town and the stack.
