Off to Perth

Is there a meet and drink happening? If not can I propose one?

I am pretty tied up while I am here, probably leaving Friday morning. I am at the ASEG convention at the convention centre. If anyone wouold like to meet me they could ambush me in the lobby of the convention centre around 5.30-6 tonight or tomorrow morning about 0800. I am easy to spot - wearing a hat, greyish beard and with a name tag "John".

For obvious reasons I don't want to put my phone number here. I have limited internet access, so may not see a reply.

Did you stay at the Williams motel last Fri nite???
There was a blue County with NSW plates,it did a bog lap of town sat morn,saw it heard the isuzu diesel but didnt get out to the front of the house in time to flag it down.

Well, I got home last night. 10,111km. Total car problems, one star in the windscreen and two flat tyres, one a new tyre job. Not too bad for a 21 year old vehicle with 450,000km on the clock.

Travelled to Perth by the direct route via Broken Hill, Port Augusta to Norseman, then poked round SW WA for a few days. Coming back coastal to Esperance and via Port Lincoln, then via Port Augusta, Nurioopta, Renmark, Morkalla to Mildura and Hay, Yass ands Home.

More details later when I have a bit of time.

When I left work Fri arvo I saw the County at the motel,you must have spotted BlackBetty parked over the road,our Shire carpark is almost opposite the motel.
Sat morn I was out the back of the house.I heard the rattling diesel sound coming up the road,saying to myself that HAS to be a Landy 3.9 isuzu.
You were just heading up the road when I checked!!!!
Great to see you had a good trip.
